NEWTON WATERPROOFING WALL MEMBRANES

Newton 508 - M1 & M2
In the majority of Newton System 500 installations, 8mm stud Newton 508 is the professional waterproofing contractors wall membrane of choice. Newton 508 (HDPE) is also suitable to be used as a flooring membrane within Newton System 500 and often the designer or installer will use the same membrane for both walls and floor.
Where space is at a premium, Newton 508 can be substituted with the 3mm Newton 503. All Newton wall membranes are fixed to the wall with the Newton MultiPlug or Newton Nu-seal Plug.

Newton 508 Mesh - M3
Newton 508 Mesh should be chosen as the wall membrane if the desired finish is to be dot-&-dab plasterboard or a direct finish such as render, plaster or lime mortar. Newton 508 Mesh (HDPE) is often used in conjunction with Newton 508 for when project constraints require a narrower wall finish such as is often the case with existing stairwells. Where space is at a premium, Newton 508 Mesh can be substituted with the 3mm Newton 503 Mesh.

Newton 503 - M5
Newton 503 is a 3mm HDPE high quality cavity drain waterproofing and damp-proofing membrane suitable for use internally above or below the ground to retaining walls, vaulted soffits and floors. When Newton 503 is used as part of Newton System 500 it is essential that a Newton pumping system or a safe form of drainage is specified.

Newton 503 Mesh - M11 & M12
Newton 503 Mesh is a meshed membrane suitable for use as a damp-proofing membrane above the ground, either internally or externally, or a waterproofing membrane when used below the ground as part of Newton System 500. With its 3mm stud, Newton 503 Mesh is just 3.5mm in overall thickness, and is the preferred meshed membrane where space is of a premium. Its high quality meshed surface provides an excellent ‘key’ for lime mortars, renders, plasters or dabbed plasterboard.
